This diagram visually communicates the research study’s themes, which contextualize the many roles, challenges, and strategies that are utilized within caregiving networks of children with medical complexity (CMC) for designers of supportive health IT. To convey these intricate, interwoven ideas, a metaphoric approach was used. As these caregiving networks are just that - networks, the many elements that constitute a home were selected as the vehicle to communicate each distinct yet interconnected theme.
